The customer is responsible for all equipment hired, from delivery until returned and checked by us.

When breakages or losses occur, these will be charged at the rates indicated on our replacement cost list. No substitute items can be accepted. Goods will be checked upon return to our premises unless otherwise agreed.

Orders should be checked by you upon delivery, as any damages or shortages must be advised immediately upon receipt of goods.

All prices are quoted excluding VAT, and all orders are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate.

For non-account customers, all orders are accepted strictly on the basis that full payment is to be received prior to delivery of the equipment. In certain circumstances we may accept cash on delivery (to include VAT). A breakage invoice may be raised following the hire period.

Payment may be made by cash, cheque or bank transfer.

For cancellation within two weeks of the event Dedham Cater Hire will charge 100% of the proposed invoice total.

An order has been deemed to be accepted by the company when an order confirmation has been processed and forwarded to the customer.

If access is not possible for a delivery/collection at the agreed time, then goods remain the responsibility of the hirer if left unattended. Any damages will be charged for accordingly.

It is the Hirer’s responsibility to ensure that all equipment is ready for collection and that all equipment is returned to our driver.

After use, please empty all glasses and leave upright in their correct boxes, which are labelled accordingly. All glasses to be returned dirty as domestic dishwashers cause damage. Please sort cutlery into their correct sizes in the cutlery trays or a sorting charge of £20 will be incurred.

Unless otherwise stated, all equipment for weekend hire must be ready for collection or dropped off by the following Tuesday or a penalty of 50% of the final invoice maybe incurred. This allows us enough time for washing up, ready for the following weekend.

Delivery & collection above a 25 mile radius of the unit will be charged at £0.45 per mile.

No responsibility can be accepted for injury caused using equipment hired.

Unless stated, all equipment is hired only for indoor use/storage. Damage through damp or wet will be charged for.

All charges are for one day/weekend hire. For hire periods of longer than one weekend, special rates may be negotiated.
